1. Who we are
Next Level Tuition provides Maths tuition for students. For data protection purposes, Next Level Tuition is the data controller for the personal information it collects and uses.

2. Information we collect
Depending on the service requested, we may collect:
- Student name, year group, course level and class choice.
- Parent or guardian name, email address and contact details.
- Information about the student’s Maths confidence, exam board, target grade, learning needs and tuition goals.
- Attendance, progress notes, homework or assignment information.
- Payment or enrolment option selected. Payment card details should be handled by the payment provider, not stored by Next Level Tuition.
- Online lesson recordings, where sessions are delivered online.
- Messages sent by email, booking forms, Facebook/Instagram business messages or other agreed communication channels.
- Any safeguarding, medical, access or learning support information a parent chooses to share, or that is necessary to keep a student safe.
3. Why we use this information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to enquiries and book calls.
- Enrol students into the correct class or tuition option.
- Plan and deliver appropriate Maths tuition.
- Communicate with parents or guardians about attendance, progress and arrangements.
- Manage payments, trials, monthly or termly enrolment options.
- Record online sessions for safeguarding, quality assurance and review.
- Meet safeguarding responsibilities and respond to concerns.
- Share updates, resources or offers where appropriate and permitted.
4. Lawful basis for using information
We only use personal information where there is a lawful basis to do so. This may include:
- Contract: to provide tuition or take steps before providing tuition.
- Legitimate interests: to manage enquiries, run the tuition service, keep appropriate records and improve lessons.
- Legal obligation: where information must be used or retained to meet legal duties.
- Consent: for optional marketing, testimonials, photographs or certain communications where consent is requested.
- Vital interests or safeguarding reasons: where information needs to be used to protect a child or another person from harm.
5. Online lesson recordings
All online tuition sessions will be recorded for safeguarding, quality assurance and review purposes. Recordings will be stored securely, only accessed where necessary, and not shared publicly.
Recordings will normally be retained for up to 90 days and then deleted, unless they are needed for a safeguarding, complaint, legal or service-quality reason.
6. Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared only where necessary, for example with:
- Booking, email, online classroom, form, website or payment providers used to run the service.
- A parent or guardian connected to the student.
- A student’s school, local authority safeguarding team, police, emergency services or other appropriate body if there is a safeguarding concern or legal requirement.
- Professional advisers where needed for legal, accounting or insurance purposes.
7. How we store and protect information
We aim to keep information secure by using appropriate systems, passwords and access controls. Personal information should only be kept for as long as necessary for tuition, safeguarding, accounting, legal or legitimate business purposes.
8. Retention
As a guide:
- Enquiry information may be kept for up to 12 months if tuition does not start.
- Student tuition records may be kept for up to 3 years after tuition ends, unless a longer period is needed for safeguarding, legal, accounting or complaint reasons.
- Financial records may be kept for up to 6 years for accounting and tax purposes.
- Online session recordings will normally be kept for up to 90 days unless needed for a safeguarding, complaint, legal or service-quality reason.
9. Your rights
Parents and students have rights under UK data protection law. These may include the right to access personal information, ask for incorrect information to be corrected, ask for information to be deleted, object to certain uses, restrict processing, and withdraw consent where consent is being relied on.
To make a request, email maths@nextleveltuition.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with how personal information is handled.
10. Children’s information
Because Next Level Tuition works with children and young people, privacy information should be explained clearly and parents or guardians should support younger students in understanding how their information is used.

This policy may be updated as services, systems or legal requirements change.
